ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take necessary steps to measure and fix the four boundaries of the lands in S.F.No.756/8 and in S.F.No.756/16, situated at Theppampatti, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District, based on the petitioner's documents and applications dated 23.01.2026 and 27.01.2026, respectively, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and his brothers and sisters are the absolute owners of the subject properties and are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same. It is further submitted that the petitioner made applications dated 23.01.2026 and 27.01.2026 before the competent authority, seeking survey and fixation of boundaries in respect of the said properties. Despite receipt of the said representation, no further effective steps have been taken by the authorities. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition seeking appropriate directions to enable the authorities to conduct the survey and fix the boundaries.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the lands in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's applications dated 23.01.2026 and 27.01.2026 and demarcate the subject properties, after considering the claims of the petitioner, and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
