This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 23.02.2021, wherein, the petitioner has requested for effecting sub division in the FMB and in the other revenue records pertaining to S.No.91/C2 and A2.

2.The case of the petitioner is that his brother had purchased the property in S.No.91/9 measuring an extent of 10 cents through a registered sale deed dated 05.06.2000 as Doc.No.481/2000. The brother of the petitioner executed a power of attorney document in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner approached the respondents to sub divide the property and to incorporate the same in the revenue records. Since the same was not considered, the present Writ Petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard Mr.K.R.Badurus Zaman, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Manikkam, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2/4

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner dated 23.02.2021 on merits and in accordance with law and shall take a final decision within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
