JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S.SRIMATHY,J.) The writ appeal is directed against the order of the writ Court dated 18.07.2024 passed in WP(MD) No.16057/2024.

2.The respondents in the writ petition are the appellants herein. 3.The writ petition was filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 therein to sanction incentive increment to the writ petitioner for acquiring M.Phil (English) Degree qualification completed in the year May 2013, which is prior to G.O.Ms.No.37 dated 10.03.2020 by considering the representation dated 01.07.2024. 4.The writ Court directed the appellants to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 01.07.2024 and pass orders in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.37 dated 10.03.2020 and G.O.Ms.No.116 dated 15.10.2020. However, aggrieved by the said direction, the writ appeal has been filed.

When the writ appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that though the writ appeal has been filed aggrieved by the direction issued by the writ Court, the appellants have considered the representation of the writ petitioner dated 01.07.2024 and by following G.O.Ms.No.37 dated 10.03.2020, the incentive increment has been paid to the tune of Rs.20,000/- to the writ petitioner/respondent. Therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ appeal. Accordingly, the writ appeal stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
