O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to produce the Petitioner's son/the detenu herein namely, Palkannan, son of Palselvam, aged about 26 years, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this court. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would state that the detenu was murdered by eight accused. It is further submitted that originally, the third respondent has registered a case under the caption ''man missing'' and now, it has been altered https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

H.C.P.(MD) No.403 of 2021 into one under the Sections 120(B), 147, 148, 302 and 201 IPC. 4.In the light of the above statement made by the learned Standing Counsel for the State, we are of the opinion that no further adjudication is required in this Habeas Corpus Petition and accordingly, the same stands closed.
