This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct to call for the records of the second respondent's proceedings dated 21.04.2018 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to give permission to conduct the cultural program namely "Adalum Padalum" on 03.05.2018 in connection with Arulmigu Sri Muthalamman Temple festival at Nagampatti, Theni District and to provide adequate security to the said program. 2.Heard Mr.A.K.Manickam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner wants to conduct Adalpadal program on 03.05.2018. The second respondent has rejected the said request on the ground that there are several communities residing in the vicinity. Compassion is the beauty of our nation, therefore, the ground on which rejected the representation by passing the order impugned is unreasonable in law.
4.It is the case of the petitioner that on an earlier occasion, no law and order problem arose in this view of the matter, the order impugned in this writ petition is quashed. 5.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is made clear that the "Adalpadal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.
6.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
