Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural function Aadal-Paadal at Kuruthampattu Public Stage in connection with the Vaigasi Festival of Arulmigu Sri Munieswarar Temple, Kuruthampattu, Kallal, Sivagangai District, scheduled on 25.05.2018 at about 07.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2018. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2nd respondent to give permission to conduct the cultural function Aadal-Paadal at Kuruthampattu Public Stage in connection with the Vaigasi Festival of Arulmigu Sri Munieswarar Temple, Kuruthampattu, Kallal, Sivagangai District, scheduled on 25.05.2018 at about 07.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2018. 2.Heard Mr.S.Muthalraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannidevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The second respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the event in question. It is open to the second respondent to incorporate conditions as he deems it fit to ensure the law and order and peaceful conduct of the event. It is made clear that the "Aadal-Paadal" programme shall not extend beyond 10.00 p.m.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
