O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to sanction the medical reimbursement for a sum of Rs.56,995/- under the New Health Insurance Scheme, by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 09.06.2017 and 19.11.2018.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is working as a Conductor in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and he is also a Member of New India Health Insurance Scheme. The petitioner's wife, namely, Bhavani under gone surgery of Fibroid Uterus in Be Well Hospitals Private Limited, Nagercoil. During the surgery, the petitioner totally spent a sum of Rs.56,995/-. Therefore, he made a representation dated 09.06.2017 to the second respondent and the same was forwarded by the second respondent to the third respondent for further progress, vide letter, dated 19.07.2017. But, on receiving the same, the third respondent was not taken any further action. Hence, the petitioner made another representation dated 19.11.2018 to the first respondent for medical reimbursement. But, till date, no order was passed. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 09.06.2017 and 19.11.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2017 and 19.11.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
