Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner applied in response to the notification issued by the corporation for the post of temporary seasonal helper. The case of the petitioner is that the respondents failed to issue second call letter last year. The stand of the respondent corporation is that they did send second call letter but the petitioner did not appear. I am not inclined to go into the said contention. This is for more than one reason. The recruitment process spoken by the petitioner pertains to the year 2021 - 2022. The said recruitment process has already been concluded. The 2/4

District Collector has issued a fresh notification dated 04.07.2022 for the year 2022 - 2023. The petitioner has also applied in response to the said notification and also participated in the interview. Unfortunately, on the date of notification, the petitioner appears to have crossed the age of 37. The petitioner belongs to scheduled caste. But even for scheduled caste candidates, the upper age limit is 37. Therefore, the petitioner cannot be considered for the post. There is no point in directing the authorities to consider the his representation also. That would be an empty formality. Thus for the aforesaid two reasons, (a) the recruitment process having already been concluded and the recruitment process for the subsequent year is presently going on; (b) the petitioner has become over aged as on 04.07.2022, the writ petition stands dismissed.
