O R D E R
This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner from the respondents 2 and 3, on the basis of petitioners complaint, dated 15.02.2025.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's sister is the owner of the land in S.F.No.249/17B an extent of 0.20ares at Kallal Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District and the petitioner is supervising the said property. While so, the private respondents are creating trouble to the petitioner and in this regard, a suit in O.S.No.61 of 2022 on the file of Sub Court, Devakottai is pending. In the meantime, the respondents 3 and 4 were illegally trespassed into the property and causing interference to the peaceful possession of the petitioner. The petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 15.02.2025 seeking police protection and the same was not considered. Hence, this petition has been filed. 2/5
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the 1st respondent has received the representation of the petitioner and assigned CSR No.66 of 2025 on 15.02.2025 and the same is under enquiry. The enquiry will be completed within a period of one week.
4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5.Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court even without issuing notice to the private respondents inclined to dispose of the writ petition by recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and directing the 1st respondent to conclude the enquiry within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6.With the aforesaid observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
