PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to consider the appeal filed by the writ petitioner dated 19.11.2021 under Section 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1955 on merits and dispose the same within the time frame stipulated by this Court. The petitioner seeks a direction for early disposal of her appeal, challenging the order of punishment imposed by the disciplinary authority, namely, Principal District Judge, Thanjavur / second respondent, which is pending before the Registrar General of this Court / first respondent.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned counsel for the first respondent would submit that a report has been received from the second respondent and the same is to be placed before the disciplinary committee and upon the decision of the disciplinary committee, the appeal will be disposed of by the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.4576 of 2022 3.In view of the said submission made by the learned counsel for the first respondent, we do not see any reason to issue any direction to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner.
