ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to pay the service surrender leave salary of Rs.1,05,000/- payable to the petitioner for the period from August 2010 to August 2017, together with 18% interest from the date of his retirement, i.e., 28.02.2018 to till the date of payment and all other attendant benefits to him, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.Mr.J.Senthil Kumariah, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Junior Assistant - Cash (Trainee) in the respondents Corporation on 13.07.1981. After periodical promotion, he was promoted to the cadre of Assistant Manager at the time of his retirement on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
28.02.2018, but, till date, the respondents fail to settle the amount of Rs.1,05,000/- payable towards earned leave salary from August 2010 to August 2017. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 03.05.2019 to the respondents and the same was not considered by them till date, hence, the present Writ Petition.
4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents would consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5.Recording the above said submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.05.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.This Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
