Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct "Adal Padal" on 23.06.2019 at about 07.00 PM to 11.00 PM in the eve of Aani festival of the "Sri Periya Karuppanna Swamy Kovil" situated in Ammapatti Village, Thuraiyoor Taluk, Trichy District, in pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2019.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct "Adal Padal" on 23.06.2019 at about 07.00 PM to 11.00 PM in the eve of Aani festival of the "Sri Periya Karuppanna Swamy Kovil" situated in Ammapatti Village, Thuraiyoor Taluk, Trichy District, in pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and police protection to conduct 'Adal Padal' on 23.06.2019 in connection with "Aani Festival" of the above said temple, the petitioner has given a representation on 18.06.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.06.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
