ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing first respondent to expedite the disposal of the petitioners' petition in B5-45664-2025 dated 02.12.2025, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the absolute owners of the subject property and are in peaceful possession and enjoyment thereof. However, the third respondent filed a petition before the second respondent seeking cancellation of the Patta in the petitioners' name. The second respondent, without considering the UDR Patta standing in the petitioners' name, cancelled the Patta. Therefore, the petitioners filed a revision petition

before the first respondent, which is still pending. Since the revision has not been addressed so far, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioners' revision will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioners' revision, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, the third respondent and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
