ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the second respondent Police frequently called the petitioners in the police station and harassed them under the guise of enquiry in respect of a family dispute.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the petitioners were enquired only on the basis of a petition given by the third respondent herein; after enquiry, a case has been registered on 25.01.2016 in Crime No.6 of 2016 under Sections https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

498-A and 406 IPC; and the 2nd respondent Police did not cause any harassment to the petitioners.

5.In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, the petitioners are at liberty to work out their remedy in the manner known to law.

6.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
