ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the petitioner's retirement benefits, namely, provident fund, gratuity, leave salary, pensionary benefits and other retirement benefits with interest at the rate of 12% p.a., within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.Mr.P.Bala Subramaniam, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, he was appointed as a Conductor in the respondent Corporation on 15.03.1996. Later, he was promoted upto the level of Selection Grade Conductor and on
31.10.2018, he retired from service after completion of 22 years of service. After his retirement from service, the respondents did not disburse the petitioner's retirement benefits namely, provident fund, gratuity, leave salary, pensionary benefits and other retirement benefits. Therefore, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents on 12.06.2019, but, till date, the respondents have not considered the said representation. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition.
4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that if any due is payable to petitioner, the first respondent would consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5.Recording the above said submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.06.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.This Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
