Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e. the Agricultural Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Government, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2018 for refund of the sum of Rs.2,87,930/- recovered from his DCRG towards repair charges of the vehicle within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e. the Agricultural Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Government, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2018 for refund of the sum of Rs.2,87,930/- recovered from his DCRG towards repair charges of the vehicle within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Ms.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents.

3.By consent of both sides, this writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent on 03.02.2018 with regard to his grievance and if the said representation is considered and orders are passed on merits and in accordance with law, the petitioner shall be satisfied. 5.I have heard the learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents in this regard. 6.In view of the innocuous prayer sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"That the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2018 shall be considered by the first respondent on merits and in accordance with law and a reasoned order to that effect shall be passed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order". No costs.
