O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.217 of 2022 on the file of first respondent Police, dated 15.02.2022 and quash the same as illegal as against the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a innocent person and a false case has been foisted by his wife, due to matrimonial dispute. However, it would suffice, if this Court directs respondent Police to complete the investigation and also permits the petitioner to canvass all those points before the respondent Police.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent No.1 and perused the materials placed on record.

4. Taking into consideration the request as made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to complete the 2/4

investigation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If there is no cognizance made out as against the petitioner, the respondent Police is directed to close the FIR in Crime No. 217 of 2022. The petitioner is at liberty to canvass all those points before the respondent Police at the time of investigation.

5. With the above direction and liberty, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
