ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to dispose of the charge sheet in C.C.No.36 of 2015 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukottai District.
2.The petitioner is the accused No.6 in C.C.No.36 of 2015 on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukottai District. It is stated that the daughterin-law of the second accused has lodged a complaint as against the petitioner and others and a case was registered in Crime No.6 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 498(A), 494 of IPC and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. The charge sheet has also been taken on file in C.C.No.33 of 2015 before the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukottai District. Subsequently, the above case was split up in C.C.No.36 of 2015 on 02.08.2017. The petitioner states that he is only the relative of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the first accused in the case and that there is no allegation in the charge sheet or in the complaint as against the petitioner. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that the case is pending for more than 2 years without any progress. It is also stated that the petitioner who is the accused No.6 in the criminal case herein, is entitled to the relief of speedy trial. 4.Considering the nature of the grievance and the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:
"The learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, Pudukottai District is directed to complete the trial and dispose of the C.C.No.36 of 2015 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 5.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
