This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the second day mandagapadi of Ramanathapuram Arulmigu Kothandarama Swamy Temple during Aani Thirumanjanam festival scheduled on 05.07.2019.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.
3. By consent, this writ petition is disposed of finally even at the stage of adjourned admission after hearing all the parties. 4.The relief sought for is that the third respondent be directed by issue of mandamus to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct 2nd Day Mandagapadi of Ramanathapuram Arulmigu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Kothandarama Swamy Temple during Aani Thirumanjanam festival scheduled to be conducted on 5.7.2019.
5. The petitioner, in fact, has submitted a representation in this regard to the third respondent on 12.06.2019. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the third respondent, before whom the representation is pending, states that the same will be disposed expeditiously.
6. Accordingly, the third respondent is directed to dispose the representation dated 12.06.2019 on or before Tuesday i.e on 02.07.2019 seeing as the Festival is scheduled to be held on 05.07.2019. The aforesaid direction would suffice, in the interests of justice.
7. This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs.
8. The learned counsel appearing for the third respondent will convey this order forthwith to the third respondent to enable him to take necessary steps to dispose the petition after hearing the petitioner.
