ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to measure the petitioner's land in S.No.316/9 to the extent of 00.01.21 Hectare of Thiruvallur Village Group, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Heard Mr.V.Kannan,, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner, in respect of measuring his land in

S.No.316/9 to the extent of 00.01.21 Hectare of Thiruvallur Village Group, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District, has given a representation to the 2nd respondent on 04.08.2017 and the learned counsel submits that, if the said representation is directed to be considered and needful is undertaken within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.I have heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the said request of the petitioner dated 04.08.2017 would be considered by the 2nd respondent within a time frame, on merits and orders would be passed thereon.

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, with the consent of both the parties, at the admission stage itself, with the following direction:

"The 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.08.2017 and do the needful as requested therein, if the petitioner is deserved to be considered for such needful of measuring his land and in this regard, if the 2nd respondent wants to hear any rival claimants, those also can be heard by giving notice and thereafter, pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

6.With this direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
