PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent herein to grant permission to the petitioner for conducting the "Manjuvirattu" event on 28.02.2025 at Dharma Muniyayya Temple, Visvanathapuram Village, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District by including the petitioner's village of Visvanathapuram Village, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District in the Sivagangai Ditrict Gazette based on the representation dated 12.02.2025. (Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.) Heard Ms.A.Banumathy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3, 5 and 6 and Mr.S.Albert James, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the fourth respondent.
2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The contention of the petitioner is that as part of Masi Kalari festival in the petitioner's village, Manjuvirattu is being conducted from time immemorial. While so, in the Jallikattu Gazette published by the third respondent, the name of the petitioner's village has been omitted to be included. In this regard, the petitioner has made several representations before the third respondent and the same are pending for consideration. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that now, the villagers of the petitioner's village decided to conduct Manjuvirattu event on 28.02.2025. In this regard also, the villagers of the petitioner's village made a representation dated 12.02.2025 before the third respondent. The said representation is also kept pending without any consideration by the third respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
5.Considering facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner either in the representation or in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.02.2025 after giving sufficient 3/5
opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
