ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to include the petitioner's name in the C-list above one Mr.M.Rajagopal and below Mr.M.Pandian and send the petitioner to attend the 9 weeks pre-promotional training with effect from 24.06.2019 with all consequential benefits. 2.
Mr. Aayiram K. Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3. By consent of parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he is fully eligible for promotion, the respondent without including his name prepared a "C" List for 28 persons to attend 9 weeks prepromotional training with effect from 24.06.2019 to the post of Sub Inspector of Police. Further, the respondent has not sent any communication to the petitioner for non- inclusion of his name in the said list. Hence, he has made a representation, dated 15.05.2019, to the respondent. The same has not been considered so far. In such circumstances, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner has been placed at the bottom of the seniority and hence, his name was not considered. He would further submit that the respondent seeks necessary clarification from the Director General of Police by its proceeding, dated 26.05.2019, based on the Writ Petition filed by the petitioner, but, so far no reply has been received.
6. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
7. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.05.2019, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than 01.07.2019.
8. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
