O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.315 of 2017 and to file final report within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent.

3. It is stated that the petitioner is the defacto complainant who has given a complaint against few individuals and a case was also registered in Crime No.315 of 2017 for the alleged offences under Sections 427, 447, 379, 382, 406, 468 and 420 of I.P.C. Even though the allegations levelled against the individuals are serious, learned counsel for the petitioner states that there was no further enquiry or progress.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor however on instructions submitted that the investigation is under process and it is likely to be completed within a period of one week. It is further ensured that final report will be filed within a period of two months.

5. Having regard to the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- The respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and to file final report in Crime No.315 of 2017 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
