ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 506
(1) IPC and Section 3(1) (r), 3(1)(s) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 in Crime No.167 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police.
2.The occurrence in question is said to have took place on 27.04.2017. But, the complaint itself was lodged six months later. This unexplained delay causes suspicion in the mind of this Court as regards the very veracity of the complaint.
3.Hence, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned III Additional District Judge (PCR Cases), Madurai, Madurai District and on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
concerned and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. 4.The petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously. The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
