JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) The order impugned in the Writ Petition was one of termination of contractual employment. The said order dated 26.08.2021 terminated the services of the appellant on disciplinary grounds. However, since the contract itself was only for a period of 11 months, even assuming that the appellant had served the duration of the contract, it would have expired in July 2022. Hence as on date, nothing survives in this Writ Appeal. 2.The appellant, however, had been continuing in service on account of the largess extended to her by virtue of interim orders of this Court. Since the Writ Appeal is rendered infructuous, her continuation in service would also come to an end with the closure of this Writ Appeal. 2/5

3.As far as the post is itself concerned, we are given to understand that it has now been reserved for Ex-servicemen by virtue of the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS). Hence, this post is unavailable to the appellant for future employment. 4.We record the submissions of the learned Additional Solicitor General of India and learned Deputy Solicitor General of India for the respondents, that in the event the appellant applies for future employment with the Central Government, there would be no stigma attached to her application by virtue of the termination of her appointment on disciplinary grounds.
