O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the representation, dated 24.01.2025. 2.According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the property in Survey Nos. 81/1C, 81/1D measuring to an extent of 5 cents at Melakottai, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District. The private respondents without having any right over the property, restrained the petitioner from the construction of a house and also they demanded amount of Rs.10 lakhs from him. Therefore, he lodged a complaint before the respondents police on 24.01.2025 but the same has not been acted upon. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that after receipt of the representation from the petitioner, they assigned CSR No.110/2025 and conducted enquiry. 2/5

However, the petitioner did not even appear for enquiry and produce any documents to prove his claim. If the petitioner is ready to appear before the respondent police and produce the relevant documents, they will ready to consider the same in accordance with law.

4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to dispose of the petition at the admission stage itself without issuing notice to the private respondents. 6.Since the prayer of the petitioner is to give police protection and the second respondent is also admitted the receipt of the representation of the petitioner, it is for the petitioner to appear before the second respondent and produce all the relevant documents, who in turn, enquire the matter after affording opportunity to all the interested parties, including the private respondents and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.01.2025 within a period of fifteen days from the date of copy of 3/5

this order.

7.With the aforesaid observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
