ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents to provide Police protection to the life and limp of the petitioner and his family members, based on his representation dated 23.01.2016.

2.Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 and 2.

3.According to the petitioner he was granted divorce decree from his 1st wife Selvi and the said Selvi made several problems against the petitioner and his family members. On 25.12.2015, the said Selvi and his son Ramaraj tried to kill the petitioner and it was prevented by his relatives. Therefore, anticipating danger, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 23.01.2016 to the first respondent. As there was no response to the same, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents, on instructions, would submit that the first respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.01.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits. 5.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.01.2016 and after giving an opportunity of hearing to both the parties, pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law forthwith. 6.This Criminal Original Petition is accordingly disposed of.
