Respondent Prayer: The petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue house patta pertaining to the residential house bearing door No.6/138 situated in old survey No.1380/3, new survey No.1654/11 situated in Madathupatti Village, Kadaiyanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli District based on the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2018 and 15.10.2018.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.K.Sankar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

2.In order to get house patta of the petitioner's land ie., residential house in Door No.6/138 situated in old Survey No.1380/3, new Survey No.1654/11 situated at Madathupatti Village, Kadaiyanallur Taluk, Tirunelveli District, the petitioner made representations dated 06.09.2018 and 15.10.2019 to the respondent. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ petitioner with the aforesaid prayer.

3.On notice, Mr.C.M.Mari Chelliah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit, on instructions that, the said representations of the petitioner have been considered and order has been passed by the respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.A3/6483/2018, dated 27.06.2019, where the petitioner has been directed to apply to the District Revenue Officer for redressal of his grievance.

after perusing the same, submitted that, as directed therein, the petitioner would file necessary petition to the District Revenue Officer concerned.

5.In view of the said development, no further order is required to be passed in this Writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ petition is disposed of. If any such application is made by the petitioner to the District Revenue Officer concerned, the same shall be decided on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as any other rival claimants, within a period of 8 weeks from the date receipt of such application from the petitioner. No costs.
