O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property bearing S.F.No.2152/4A, having an extent of 1 acre and 67 cents, situated at Vadamadurai Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District, based on Document No.3002/2021 duly registered before the Sub-Registrar, Vadamadurai, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.08.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the subject property was settled in his favour by his maternal grandfather vide a registered Settlement Deed bearing Document No.3002/2021. Since the patta stands in the name of the petitioner's grandfather, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 28.08.2025 seeking transfer of the patta. However, Page No. 2 of 5

no action has been taken. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has not filed an online application in accordance with the prescribed procedure along with the requisite fee.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that an online application would be filed along with the requisite fee in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

6. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file an online application along with the requisite fee in accordance with the prescribed procedure. In the event of the petitioner filing such an online application along with the requisite fee, the same shall be considered and appropriate orders shall be passed by the respondents within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of filing of such application. order, an enquiry shall be conducted and a reasonable opportunity of hearing shall be provided to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision.
