O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thenkasi, to dispose of the petition in C.C.No.266 of 2013.

2.It is stated that the petitioner is the accused in Cr.No.82 of 2013, which was registered for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 324, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 1998. It is further stated that after filing the charge sheet, the case was taken on file in C.C.No.266 of 2013 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thenkasi and the same is pending. It is further stated that the complaint lodged as against the petitioner is falsely registered. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the pendency of the case for more than 3 years, the proceedings have not been reached the final stage. The petitioner states that as an accused in the criminal proceedings, he has the right to seek speedy trial and that a direction for the disposal of the proceedings in C.C.No.266 of 2013 will be in the interest of justice. 4.Considering the grievance of the petitioner and the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:

"The learned Judicial Magistrate, Thenkasi is directed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to expedite the trial and dispose of the proceedings in C.C.No.266 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Thenkasi, within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
