ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the appeal, dated 15.05.2018, preferred by the petitioner against the orders passed by the Managing Director in his proceedings SE.Mu.A. No. 5296/ A1/2013, dated 20.04.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified time frame, that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Mrs. S. Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. Challenging the punishment order passed by the 2nd respondent, dated 20.04.2018, the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 20.04.2018. So far, no order has been passed in the said appeal. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition before this Court.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the appeal will be disposed of by the first respondent on merits and in accordance with law, within the time limit to be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 20.04.2018, pending on its file, on merits on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

8. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
