O R D E R

This petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the second respondent to register a criminal case, based on the compliant given by the petitioner on 09.08.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is the wife of the proposed accused. In the complaint, it is stated that the petitioner was cheated by her husband as if he was working as an IT consultant in London and earning a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakhs only) as monthly salary. Since the petitioner's husband had cheated her for getting her consent to marry him, the petitioner, after knowing the original status of her husband, who is not even a B.E. Graduate and working only as a coolie in a departmental store in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

London, has lodged the complaint. It was also stated that the petitioner was threatened by her in-laws not to reveal the truth which she realised after marriage about the status of the petitioner's husband.

4. In this circumstances, this Court is of the view that the complaint makes out a cognizable offence. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the respondent is directed to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint, dated 09.08.2017, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and to proceed further in accordance with law.
