The petitioner seeks police protection. The petitioner is a senior citizen. He is a retired employee of Indian Oil Corporation. 2.The petitioner's allegation is that in order to grab his property, his relatives have physically assaulted him causing bleeding injuries. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.4425 of 2020 3.When a senior citizen apprehends threat to his life and property, it is the duty of the local police to come to his rescue. Therefore, the third respondent is directed to file the final report within a period of one week from today(11.03.2020) and the learned jurisdictional Magistrate will take cognizance of the offences without any delay thereafter.

4.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
