ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner is the sole accused in Crime No.5 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, for the offence punishable under Sections 7, 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 15.04.2015. She has come forward with this petition seeking bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had demanded a bribe of R.8,000/- and also received the amount on 15.04.2015 for issuing patta.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and she has been falsely implicated in this case.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances, this court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6.Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail, on her executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thoothukudi and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m. until further orders.
