ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider his representation and include the petitioner's name in the recruitment by transfer as Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year of 2022-2023 on the basis of petitioner's representation, dated 21.10.2023 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2.By consent of both parties, considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.Heard, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. Perused the materials on record.

4.The petitioner was initially appointed as Sub Inspector of Police on 01.03.1996 and was promoted as Inspector of Police on 02.01.2006. The petitioner underwent Pre-promotional training for Inspector of Police from 23.11.2022 to 20.12.2022 at Tamil Nadu Police Academy. In the temporary panel for Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year 2022-23, the name of the petitioner was not considered, due to pendency of punishment in P.R.No. 104/15 of Virudhunagar District. Hence, the petitioner filed a review petition before the first respondent and the first respondent, vide proceedings, dated 28.04.2023 set aside the punishment inflicted on the petitioner, as a result of which, the petitioner became eligible for inclusion in the panel to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year 2022-23.
In this regard, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 21.10.2023 and the same was not considered. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed. 5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the name of the petitioner has already been included in the panel to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year 2023-2024.
6.In view of the above submission and without going into the merits of the case, this Court hereby direct the first and second respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.10.2023 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eighteen (18) weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
