ORDER
The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the fifth respondent to determine the scale of pay of Rs.610-1075 to the petitioner in the light of the fifth respondent's communication in Letter No.Ko/2017/U.Se.Po(J)/dated 05.07.2017 to the fourth respondent.
2.Heard Mr.S.Alagarsamy, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Heard Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.Though such a prayer has been sought for in this writ petition, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that pursuant to his request dated 28.06.2017, having considered the same, the fifth respondent has forwarded the proposal for refixation of the petitioner's pay scale to the fourth respondent on 05.07.2017. However, the fourth respondent so far has not passed any orders thereon. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that if the fourth respondent is directed to consider the proposal forwarded by the fifth respondent and pass orders thereon within a time frame stipulated by this Court, the petitioner will be satisfied.
4.I have heard Mrs.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents in this regard. 5.In view of the prayer now sought for by the petitioner through his counsel, which is innocuous in nature, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself with consent of both sides with the following directions:
"That the first respondent is directed to consider the proposal forwarded by the fifth respondent in Letter No.Ko/2017/U.Se.Po(J)/dated 05.07.2017, on merits in accordance with law and pass orders thereon within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
No costs.
