ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to direct some other Inspector of Police other than the 2nd respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.89 of 2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents.

3. The petitioner is the de-facto complainant and her complaint has been registered in Crime No.89 of 2016 under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(i) IPC read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the petitioner being a senior citizen has suffered a lot because of the crime committed by the accused persons. But the 2nd respondent did not exhibit seriousness in the investigation and therefore, the petitioner herein has preferred a representation dated 14.06.2016 to the 1st respondent seeking transfer of investigation.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that investigation conducted by the 2nd respondent would be monitored by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Usilampatti Division.

5. Recording the submission, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Usilampatti Division is directed to monitor the investigation to be done by the 2nd respondent and to file appropriate final report before the concerned Magistrate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
