PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to quash the charge sheet in P.R.C.No.14 of 2017 under Sections 417, 376 and 506(i) of I.P.C. and Section 3(1)(w)(i) of SC/ST POA Act, 2015, pending on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court, Sathankulam filed in F.I.R. in Crime No.3 of 2017 on 03.04.2017 registered on the file of the first respondent police on the basis of the 'Joint Compromise Memo' filed by the petitioner and the third respondent herein.

When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the third respondent / de-facto complainant are personally present before this Court and identified themselves.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent/de-facto complainant.

3. During the pendency of the proceedings, at the intervention of the elders, an amicable settlement has been arrived at between the parties and a Joint Compromise Memo dated 13.12.2017 has also been filed by them. In the said memorandum of compromise, the de-facto complainant/third respondent has stated that the dispute has been amicably settled between them and she has no objection to quash the proceedings pending against the petitioner in P.R.C.No.14 of 2017 on the file of Judicial Magistrate Court, Sathankulam.

4. In view of the same, the proceedings in P.R.C.No.14 of 2017 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Sathankulam is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The Joint Compromise Memo dated 13.12.2017 shall form part of the order.
