ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as sole accused apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 353 and 506(i) IPC in Crime No. 175 of 2018, on the file of the respondent Police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that when the defacto complainant, who is the Revenue Divisional Officer, was on surveillance to unearth any illegal sand mining at Aliyanilai Village, the petitioner is said to have prevented her from discharging her official duty and also threatened her with dire consequences.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the investigation is still pending.

5. Considering the serious nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
