Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to dispose the revision petition dated 21.04.2019 preferred by the petitioner within the period that may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to dispose of the revision petition dated 21.04.2019 preferred by the petitioner, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.A.Nawaz Khan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.M.Mari Chellaiah Prabhu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.As against the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Pudukkottai i.e., the third respondent herein, the petitioner preferred a revision before the second respondent on 21.04.2019.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said revision petition, which is pending before the second respondent, can be directed to be considered on merits and in accordance with law at an early date.

5.Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who would submit that, the revision petition of the petitioner would be considered by the second respondent on merits, within a time stipulated by this Court.

6.Having regard to the said facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following directions:- that the second respondent is hereby directed to consider the revision of the petitioner dated 21.04.2019 and pass order on merits thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In this regard, if need be, an opportunity of being heard can be given to the petitioner as well as rival claimant, if any.

No costs.
