ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to direct the respondent to consider and appoint the petitioner in any suitable post on compassionate ground, by considering his representation dated 29.05.2019, within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's mother, while she was serving under the respondent / Department died on 29.01.2017, leaving behind the petitioner's brother viz., A. Jeyaraman and he made an application for compassionate appointment on 27.01.2018. Subsequently, he was suffered from Chronic Schizophrenia and therefore, the petitioner sent a representation dated 29.05.2019, to provide job to him, under the compassionate appointment for the death of the petitioner's mother. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law.

Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer made by the petitioner and considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner's brother viz., A. Jeyaraman as well as petitioner, dated 27.01.2018 and 29.05.2019 respectively, jointly, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner's brother, if necessary.

7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
