ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue legal heir certificate to the petitioner by considering his online application dated 28.12.2018 which was acknowledged by the respondent office vide Application No.TN-720181228810 within a time frame as fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.S.Sukumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
3.The petitioner, in order to get legal heir certificate as the mother of the petitioner died, had given application on 28.12.2018 through online vide application No.TN 729181228810. However, the same, so far, has not been decided and the legal heir certificate has not been issued by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, who would submit that, the said application submitted by the petitioner dated 28.12.2018 would be considered on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
merits and the same would be decided, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.
5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of both the parties, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, at the admission stage itself, with the following direction:
"The respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.12.2018 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, with regard to the grievance of the petitioner to get legal heir certificate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
