ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to expedite the process of issuance of no objection certificate for the petitioner's nanja land property in Survey Number: 629/6B measuring 0.08.53 Ares situated in Unnamalaikadai Village, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanniyakumari District.

2. The petitioner's application for such conversion was already entertained by the District Collector, by proceedings dated 14.06.2024, directed the Revenue Officer, Padmanabapuram; the Joint director, Town Planning Department, Nagercoil; the Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Nagercoil; and the Administrative Officer, Unnamalaikadai Town Panchayat, to ascertain the certain factors relating to the said land. However, even though the said proceeding was issued, there is no progress in the said proceedings.

3. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to take necessary steps to conclude the said proceedings within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. With the above said direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 2/4
