Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2019 and provide Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund since the petitioner husband died due to the Electric shock and in the absence of the petitioner's husband, the entire family suffers economically.

ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2019 and provide Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund since the petitioner husband died due to the Electric shock and in the absence of the petitioner's husband, the entire family suffers economically. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Heard Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kannithevan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner's husband died due to electric shock and this, according to the petitioner, is because of the mixing of cable wire with electric wire and therefore, in this regard, the petitioner attributes the negligence on the part of the sovereign State. Therefore, on that ground, the petitioner made representation on 11.04.2019 to the 1st respondent District Collector seeking for compensation and the said representation since has not been decided so far, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.I have heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, who would submit that, the said request of the petitioner dated 11.04.2019 made to the 1st respondent District Collector would be decided by the 1st respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of both the parties, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, at the admission stage itself, with the following direction:

"The 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.04.2019 and pass orders thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
