O R D E R
This Writ Petition filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking to consider the representation dated 12.02.2020, given by the petitioner and consequently direct the third respondent viz., The Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Rajapalayam, to invive the petitioner to participate in the Peace Committee Meeting with respect to the festival of Ayyanar Temple in Amman Pottal Street, Rajapalayam.
2. A suit in O.S.No.107 of 2005, is pending on the file of the District Munsif Court, Srivilliputhur, seeking to frame a scheme for administration of the said Temple. Since the suit is pending, the learned District Munsif ordered that however, during the festival time, there being the rival groups, the Tahsildar or the Revenue Divisional Officer along with the Deputy Superintendent of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.5092 of 2020 Police, who have been conducting Peace Committee Meeting to effectively conduct the temple festival. It is stated that similarly the Peace Committee Meeting is also scheduled for the ensuing festival. But the petitioner had not been invited. The petitioner sent a representation on 12.02.2020, seeking participation. Since he had not received any reply, the present Writ Petition in the nature of Mandamus has been filed.

This Court holds that instead of the Tahsildar, it would be in the interest of the parties concerned that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar District and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District / the first and fourth respondents herein are directed to call for a Peace Committee meeting and invite all the stakeholders / parties, who are interested and also the petitioner. The Police may ensure that the Peace Committee Meeting, is conducted in a fair manner, by keeping peace and harmony, by the concerned people and the festival may be conducted by the third respondent viz., the Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Rajapalayam and if necessary, call the assistance of the Police to ensure that the peace is maintained during the festival period.
