ORDER
The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 and 2 herein to promote the petitioner to the post of B.T.Assistant (Social Science) as per G.O.(Ms) No.134, dated 15.07.2007. 2.Heard Mr.J.Lawrence, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and heard Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.The petitioner's grievance is that the petitioner is working as a Physical Education Teacher. Since he is qualified to the post of B.T. Assistant in Social Science, he had been requesting for the same from the year 2015, as he had been given representation to that effect on various dates in the year 2015, 2016 and 2018 respectively. The first such representation was made on 17.03.2015 and last such representation was made by the petitioner on 13.02.2018. However, the respondents have not considered the request of the petitioner. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that if the request of the petitioner made through the said representations is considered and an order to that effect is passed by the respondents, the petitioner will be satisfied. 4.Heard Mrs.S.
Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents in this regard. 5.
"There shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the request of the petitioner regarding the promotion from the post of Physical Education Teacher to B.T. Assistant (Social Science) by way of one and last such representation dated 13.02.2018 and pass orders thereon, on merits in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
