ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose the appeal dated 13.06.2019 submitted by the petitioner and his brothers before the 1st respondent herein relating to delete the name of 4th respondent and his fathers name Aathimoola Thevar from SLR and the Natham Settlement in S.F.No. 187/2 with an extent 95 cents, situated at Veeranenthal Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Heard Mr.K.Baalasundharam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed against the respondents 3 and 4, notice to them is dispensed with.

3.The petitioner along with 5 others had filed an appeal under Revenue Standing Order to make correction in SLR on 16.03.2019 to the 1st respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, if the said appeal filed before the 1st respondent is directed to be decided on merits, of course, after giving notice to the parties, within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, who would submit that, the said appeal filed under Revenue Standing Order, requiring change in SLR would be decided, of course, after giving notice to both the parties, within a time frame.

5.In view of the said submission of both counsel, with the consent of both the parties, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, at the admission stage itself, with the following direction:

"The 1st respondent is directed to consider the appeal of the petitioner and 5 others dated 13.06.2019 with regard to the required change in SLR, on merits and in accordance with law, of course, after giving an opportunity of being heard to both the petitioner and 5 others in the said appeal as well as the respondents 3 and 4 and after hearing them, necessary final order shall be passed by the 1st respondent and the needful as indicated above shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
