Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2021 and to shift the petitioner's husband from Government Hospital, Thanjavur to Government Hospital, Trichy for providing proper medical treatment to the petitioner's husband. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.03.2021 and to shift the petitioner's husband from Government Hospital, Thanjavur to Government Hospital, Trichy for providing proper medical treatment to the petitioner's husband.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner stated that the petitioner's husband was arrested by the third respondent in pursuant to the crime No.70 of 2021, for the offence under Section 392 of IPC and remanded to judicial custody as prisoner No.1375. Thereafter, he fell ill and as such the petitioner made a request to treat her husband in a proper hospital.

W.P(MD).No.5971 of 2021 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents stated that the request made by the petitioner was considered and her husband was taken to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Trichy on 17.04.2021 for treatment and he was treated as outpatient and given medical treatment by the Trichy Government Headquarters Hospital Medical Officer and thereafter, he had been taken to the prison.

4.Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
