ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to make correction in the Birth Certificate of the petitioner's son in registration No.71/2005/11, dated 24.06.2005, in the column of Name as Balasanjay, which is his son name, instead of Sanjay and in the column of Name of Father as Navaneethakrishnamoorthy, which is petitioner's name, instead of A.Krishnamoorthy on the basis of his representation dated 22.04.2019, within time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.K.Arunraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner's son, namely, Balasanjay born on 22.06.2005 and the birth certificate has been given in this regard by the respondent/Municipality. However, the name of the petitioner's son has been mentioned as 'Sanjai' in the said certificate and in order to get a correct name in the said birth certificate, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondent/Municipality on 22.04.2019. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that if the said representation is directed to be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

considered on merits by the respondent/Municipality within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent/Municipality, who would submit that the representation dated 22.4.2019 of the petitioner would be considered on merits and order would be passed by the respondent within a time frame. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, with the consent of both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition at the admission stage itself, with the following directions:- "that the respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.04.2019 and pass order thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

No costs.
