ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondent to change the property tax assessment register in the name of the writ petitioner on the basis of his application dated 06.01.2026.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the property was originally owned by his grandmother and she has executed a Will in favour of the writ petitioner's father. The petitioner's father has also passed away. The petitioner's father has executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner by way of document dated 05.01.2026. Based upon the said documents, the petitioner has made an application to the respondent Corporation on 06.01.2026 seeking their intervention to mutate the property tax assessment in the name of the petitioner. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner on the basis of the documents presented by the writ petitioner and pass orders within a period of 4(four) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
